Anna had managed to cross the portal, defeating the birds and Jun stayed with Pailong behind, knowing that with her strength, which had been limited from the last fight, it was better to stay and wait for the others to return. She clasped her hands together, closing her eyes tightly, thinking:
Please, come back well... And then, Jun felt a heavy hand over her shoulder and she looked to the side, surprised, seeing Pailong smile.
"Pailong?"
"Don't be afraid, they aren't, they'll be all ok." He told her confidently and Jun smiled, feeling better and then she leaned against his shoulder, staring at the portal and saying:
"I know, I'm not afraid... I just want them to be careful." And then, still staring at the portal, she suggested, thinking of how much they could still improve: "When this fight ends, what do you think we'll get back to training?"
"I'd love to, Tao Jun." Pailong told her honestly and then, she lifted her head and asked curiously:
"Speaking of fear... What do you fear?"
"I'm a spirit, Jun..." He reminded her, amusemed. If he didn't know that there was more after death, he would be afraid of not seeing Jun again, but he wasn't afraid, they would be together and then, he looked into her blue eyes, also curious: "And you, do you fear the death?"
"I don't..." She admitted, smiling awkwardly. "The great fear of many people is dying but for us shamans, we realize that we don't need to be afraid of this and also because I will continue to see you..."
And it was true, what had begun with him being her zombie marionette, had slowly become a beautiful relationship, which gradually had been turning into something more.
Pailong was surprised, but he opened a small smile, seeing her face flushed, and then the hand on her shoulder moved up toward the corner of her lips, making her shiver before reaching her cheek, caressing gently where it was red and murmured:
"And I'm glad to be by your side."
"I know." She continued to smile at his words and gesture, before placing a kiss on his cheek, feeling the softness of his skin that would have made him blush if possible and grabbed him by the hand: "Let's go back to the village?"
