Nymphadora Tonks knew that she was unconventional, and she rejoiced in that fact. She wasn't someone whom could be pigeonholed into one area and/or group. She loved the fact that she changed how she looked on a daily basis. She loved the fact that she could be herself and not have to worry about wondering just what kind of person she was.
She changed her hair color daily and never had the same color two days in a row. She never let anyone call her by her first name because she hated it, but yet she loved her last name. She loved doing things her way even if that way was different than everyone else. She didn't care what anyone thought of her because they didn't know her. She wasn't afraid to flout the fact that she went with the flow.
She saw how people looked at her. She knew that people thought that she was weird. She knew that a lot of people looked down on her, because of how she never stayed the same day to day. She didn't see the problem with being different. She didn't see the problem with expressing how she felt with her appearance. She didn't see the problem with being true to herself. Why should she care what stuffy stuck up people thought about her?
She was proud to be who she was. She proud of the gift that her bloodline gave her. She loved showing off just what she could do with her gift. Why should she only use it at certain times? Why should she have to regulate how often she used the gift that Magic itself had given her? She never understood why people always thought that people and/or things had to be or look a certain way. Where was the fun in that?
Yes, Tonks loved just who she was and how she acted. She wasn't going to change for anyone. She had the right to be the way she was if that is what she chose. It shouldn't matter if she wasn't everyone else because to her that just made her unique and she loved that fact. She didn't care if she was unconventional in everyone else's eyes because the only thing that mattered was that she was true to herself.
