Nina's POV

BEACH DAY!

"Ugh.. it's so.. hot" I gasped fanning myself.

"I… agree." Amber said in her posh British accent.

I sometimes felt left out with my American accent.

Jerome snuck a few glances at Mara who had her nose in a book.

"Want to go to the beach?" Fabian asked. My stomach fluttered, Fabian.

"I do!" Alfie bellowed jumping off the couch.

I smiled and stood up to change clothes.

"Alright then. It's settled."

I straightened my loose t-shirt and sprinted down the steps of the old Anubis house.

I actually wasn't thinking about the mystery! I let out a gleeful laugh and linked arms with Amber.

She giggled and added Mick to the chain. And, gulp, Fabian on my side.

I smiled up at him and he blushed staring at his feet like they were the most interesting thing in the world.

The blazing sun was really hot and I stretched whilst putting on my sunglasses.

Fabian took off his shirt and I couldn't help but ogle at him.

SIX. PACK. AAAAAHHH! I bit my lip and whipped off my shirt and shorts. My light blue bikini was up a little high so I pulled it down a bit.

It was now Fabian's turn to ogle. I smiled at him and he blushed.

All of a sudden I was lifted off the ground and being hauled by Jerome and Alfie.

"Ahhhh! Help! No!" I screamed and wriggled around in their grasp.

Patricia and Amber kicked at the guys while everyone else laughed. Well, Mara was studying and putting on sun-screen.

Woosh.

Icy salt water filled my nose and I gasped, they threw me out to deep.

I sputtered and splashed around and yelled, "help!"

They laughed thinking I was joking but an eerie silence filled the air when I disappeared under the water.

Fabian's POV

"where's Nina?" I asked frantically.

"She is probably joking." Alfie said forcing a fake laugh.

I glared at him and Amber jumped into the water screaming, "NINA! NINA!"

Amber's teeth chattered and Mick rushed her out.

I dived into the surf and searched desperately in the waer when I felt seaweed around my hand…. NINA'S HAIR!

I wrapped my arms around her waist and brought her up to the top.

Her head lolled around and I thought t0 myself, Im going to kill Jerome and Alfie!

I brought her to the sand and pushed lightly on her stomach.

Nothing.

She finally opened her eyes and coughed up water and to our dismay a bit of sand.

She sputtered, "Fabian?"

"yes?"

"What happened?" I let out a sigh and the others laughed.
