Where Do We Begin
Loki can recall a few occasions when he has been genuinely frightened by his brother.
Granted, most of them ended with Thor stomping furiously down the halls and yelling Loki's name out at a decibel so great he is sure Mars could have heard him, but that is beside the point.
Loki is not frightened of his brother.
Is he wary of Thor's unusual strength? : Constantly.
Is he troubled by his alarmingly minuscule brain capacity and common knowledge? : Most definitely.
Is he intrigued at the endless amount of food that he can cram into his mouth without asphyxiating himself into a coma? : Always.
But despite Thor's blatant flaws Loki remains undeterred by the differences between them. Even though he possesses all these traits, the youngest brother knows that he has inherited others that can oppose that of his siblings. While Thor is strong, Loki is gracefully agile, whereas Thor is stubborn and competitive in sports, he prefers to evaluate the situation and then attack where the enemy is most vulnerable. And as for the the endless food consumption - though Loki is positive it should be referred to as consummation- well...
Loki isn't quite as besotted with food the way his elder sibling is, though he admits to having a weakness for sweet tasting desserts...
He has gone off topic and reels his thoughts back in.
Irksomely innocent blue eyes stare back at him in barely contained joy.
"Alright Thor, tell me what is so amusing that you're face is red like a newly born infant."
Thor chuckles warmly."Oh brother, you make me sound so juvenile."
Loki does not respond to the comment but his brow rises instantly.
"No doubt you have prepared some biting rebuttal but have opted for silence instead."
Maybe miniscule was a tad harsh.
"I have here a note from school. It seems you are more popular with the ladies than I thought. This Lewis person is obviously smitten with you, the poor creature. Should I extend your sentiments or send it back to them, so that he may begin his journey on the rightful path to enlightenment?"
And then all hell breaks loose as Loki snatches the note from his brother's hands, striding off as dignified as possible, while Thor descends into relentless laughter. His loud guffaws can still be heard from down the hall when Loki slams his door shut behind him.
Lewis.
The name is branded on his eyelids whilst he lays on his back in the darkness of his room, where he has been for the remainder of the day. His mother has already tried knocking on the door, trying to coax him out with promises of chocolate fudge cake which he has denied himself. She had hesitated outside of the door for a few moments, Loki knows because he was able to see her slender shadow shrinking under the door when she had left.
Lewis. That is the name of Loki's so-called "secret admirer". Sadly, it will not remain secret for long. His brother's large mouth is famous for other reasons. Numerous reasons of which Loki prefers not to think about.
He scowls.
Lewis.
The first stone has presented itself. Now he need only follow the pathway, but first...
He must salvage what is left of his mother's precious cake before Thor desecrates it.
Author's Note: This is an idea I've been brainstorming in my head. I'm not sure if this will be in chronological order or just a series of one-shots. I'm thinking both.
Any suggestions?
I'd rather not get sued by Stan Lee and Marvel (but meeting him would be brilliant!), characters are not mine.
