The owls are back and it's time to put a close to one tale and a start to a new one. Itachi's gone but that doesn't mean he's gone forever. KisaIta, TobiDei, PainKonan, and other pairings. OC's

1. Chapter 1

Kisame looked up at the stars. Itachi still hadn't returned. "You don't think..." Kisame trailed off in his thoughts.

"Kisame, are you alright?" Konan landed beside Kisame.

"I… I don't know…." Kisame looked down at his talons. "Itachi's not back yet, maybe..?"

"Let's only hope for the best." Konan put her wing around Kisame. "Let's hope for the best."

~With Itachi, Sasori, and Kakuzu~

"Heh, it's no use. Your gonna lose like it or not." Sasori mocked.

"That's what you think." Itachi said even though he knew Sasori was right. Before Itachi knew it Kakuzu's tentacles wrapped around him and he was unable to move.

"Alls well that ends well." Kakuzu said.

"Kisame still hadn't budged from his spot. He was still looking up at the stars. "I guess we'll never see each other again…."
