Sometimes, even the ones we trust the most can be liars. But sometimes, they lie for the better, and we're too corrupt to accept it.

You lied to me. For so long, you kept this a secret. Why?

I thought those were our children. Our precious kits. I loved them as any father would love his kits. But they weren't ours. They were Leafpool's.

All those moons I watched them with warm, glowing pride. Lionblaze catching his first rabbit. Jayfeather becoming a medicine cat apprentice, acting as an ordinary cat, not blind. Hollyleaf standing up for the Warrior Code.

And when I looked at you, your green eyes would shine with joy. Now I know what really lies beneath those eyes.

Lies.

Disloyalty.

Betrayal.

I can't bare to meet your gaze. Your pathetic look, begging for forgiveness.

Well, you'll just have to wait. Forever. I'm done with you, Squirrelflight. I'll show no mercy. I'm leaving this Clan. I'm leaving the Lake. I can't bare to be in a place so full of lies. Oh, and I'm taking our kits…I mean…your sister's kits with me.
