Hello! No, I'm not dead yet (heh-Richard Pryor moment). I'm working very hard on the next chapter of All Natural, though, and I apologize for the delay. The last two chapters were pre-written, and it never got too much feedback, so I didn't think it would go anywhere... But today is a new day! So please bear with me, and accept this quick and guilt driven little something. A thousand thank-ya-very-much(es?) to all my reviewers. Um, I guess that's enough of that... Peacebone!-SHQ
Albus scratched at his parchment with his quill, carefully not-looking at the blond boy beside him, who was reading.
He was immensely aware of his body. He could hear him breathing.
Know what? he thought.
What?
I'm going to tell him, he thought.
Dreamer, dreamer.
Not a dream, he thought. I really will. I'm going to tell him tonight.
Night came.
It prowled from the corner shadows and stars, casting its usual spell on the inhabitants of the castle. It was quiet and dark, and Scorpius was asleep. Albus knew this for certain because he was breathing out of his mouth, mouth relaxed and parted slightly- it was something he took great pains never to do while awake. There are some things, Albus reflected, you just can't do in the light of day.
"I love you," he whispered.
Scorpius shifted in his sleep, breathing softly. Albus smiled.
Know what? he thought.
I think he heard me.
Dreamer, dreamer.
