PRETTY AS A PICTURE
In the absence of a 'Word of the Week' this week, I decided to post a drabble anyway! I've spent most of August exhibiting artwork, so I was inspired to round off the month with an 'arty' theme.
The boys' latest phone call to Bobby doesn't paint a pretty picture.

Bobby was sitting, beer in hand researching his latest hunt.
He almost jumped out of his seat when the phone rang.
"Sam? Dean?" He smiled.
"Hey, Bobby, whad'y know about cursed books?" Sam's voice was abrupt, bypassing any niceties toward the older man.
"Uh, well …"
"Art books, particularly."
"What's the curse?" Bobby asked curiously.
"Well," Sam sighed; "I was reading about Franz Hals, and suddenly, I'm the Laughing Cavalier."
"Hell, that's weird."
"Yeah, and Dean …"
Their conversation was interrupted by a distant voice.
"Damnit Sam, my goddamn tutu's caught in the chair leg!"
"Don't tell me," Bobby groaned; "Degas?"
"Yeah."
"Balls!"
