The Trout: Lame story, yes. Not really based on facts in the series, yes. A bit OOC, sadly, yes again. This was suppose to be a one shot story¡ Anyway, C&C welcomed.
"Why..." His whispered.
"We should leave now." His companion told him softly.
He finally moved gazed away, and started to turn.
The gentle summer wind blew, the grass swayed, the trees rustled, the birds chipped, and the fresh flowers on top of the gravestone left a calming fragrant.
"Natsume, why are you skipping class again?"
"..." When I did not answer, she went on her usual ramblings. I don't know when it happened, but it had. As if being attracted by a magnet, I could not take my eyes off of her. The more I know about her, the more I want to protect her, and stay with her forever. But I know, she will never get the life she deserves with me, Ruka would be able to give her so much more. I shouldn't be selfish.
I simply did what I thought was best, but never in my wildest dreams could I imagine...
"Natsume, are you alright? NATSUME! You're coughing blood, what's the matter?" Ruka looked so worried, I know I couldn't hide it anymore. I let him guide me to the hospital. The doctor looking at me, after giving him a nod, he told Ruka about my conditions. I already know I don't have much time left; I won't be able to watch over Ruka for much longer.
As I lie on the hospital bed, with Ruka beside me looking depressed and solemn, Mikan rushed in, "Natsume, Natsume, what's wrong?" ¡°Ruka, don¡¡± ¡°Mikan, Natsume¡¡± It was too late to stop him. I wasn¡¯t surprised when tears swelled up in her warm brown eyes. "Why didn't you tell us? I..." "Idiot, it's no big deal, I already knew this was going to happen long ago." My heart ached seeing her cry, I wanted to wrap my arms around her, but I knew I couldn¡¯t. She probably doesn¡¯t even realize my feelings, I laughed at myself inside. "I'm fine, stop crying. You're really annoying me." "Na..." She looked pained, and then turned to run out of the room." "Mikan!" Ruka called after her. "If you want to go, then go!" "But..." "Don't worry about me, it¡¯s not like I¡¯m going to wonder around right now. "I..." He started to say something, but swallowed, ran chased after her. It's all for the best I told myself.
