Truth or Dare was a dangerous game. Especially when you have secrets you don't want your best friend to know, much less your brother. I Catie Potter have a deadly secret that my friends were about to get out of me.
"Catie truth or dare?" Lily asked me grinning deviously. First of all spending Lily's birthday playing this ghastly game is not my idea of fun. Second, I regrettably had to answer,
"Um…Truth?" I said timidly. Lily exchanged looks with Alice then looked back at me,
"Who do you fancy?" she asked excitedly. I felt my face go pink,
"Can I take the dare instead?" I asked my face growing even redder. Alice sighed disappointedly and nodded,
"Yes, if you must." Alice said. Lily was still smirking though,
"I dare you to find the bloke you fancy and kiss him full on the lips." Lily said with triumph in her voice. I closed my eyes; he-who-I-didn't-want-to-reveal was down stairs reading/studying with my brother. Being a fourteen year old girl is harder than it seems…
"Fine." I said reluctantly, as I went to my feet and marched out the door, Lily and Alice following close behind. I marched down the steps; there he was sitting in his usual spot book in hand. Breathing deeply I ran over to him lowered the book and kissed Remus Lupin full on the mouth. Before he could realize it was me I ran back to my giggling friends and took no time wasting to run upstairs. My face was scarlet as I looked at it in the mirror, I could not believe I just kissed him. I solemnly swear that I will never play Truth or Dare again…ever.
