Weiss huffed.

Knowing that this was a bad idea from the start surprisingly didn't prevent her from ending up in this situation.

It would have been so easy to just say no to Ruby's request. Only she was capable of making a trip to a forest full of Grimm sound like an easy-going adventure to fight off some of the boredom that seemed to shut off the logical thinking of the red-hooded huntress every now and then.

What was wrong about reading a book, studying for the next class or just not getting into a situation that threatened their lives?!

Glancing over her right shoulder Weiss checked out the number of Beowolves that were gathering in front of her partner.

She was relieved to see that the three black creatures still kept their distance probably not sure what to think of two girls randomly stumbling into their territory. But knowing the nature of those beasts it wouldn't take long for them to make their moves. And Ruby certainly wasn't helping by waving her ridiculously big scythe around. Adding the two Ursai which slowly made their way into Weiss's direction it was going to be two against five including the possibility of the battle noises attracting the attention of even more of those creatures.

Taking a small step back Weiss's found herself pressed against Ruby's back. Warmth was beginning to spread through her shoulder area as Weiss locked eyes with her partner and asked in a whisper: "Why are we here again?"

Ruby snickered at the slightly alarmed yet at the same time annoyed tone of the heiress. She nudged Weiss's arm and answered with a grin: "I promised we'd have a little fun, right?"

Weiss was about to lecture the girl but something stopped her.

Silver eyes sparkling with excitement were still holding her gaze.

Weiss grumbled a "Forget it" and turned around quickly so she was facing the Grim instead of her partner again.

"I guess there's no way around this."

Drawing Myrtenaster Weiss took in her usual fighting position.

"Three kills wins!" Ruby announced before dashing forward with her incredible speed.

A small smile made its way onto Weiss's face as she followed the example of her partner.

Who cared why she was here anyway?
