You Cheated, Itachi!
A/N: I had an odd dream when I woke up one morning. Itachi was playing volleyball in it. Enough said! Oh, yeah! Characters do not belong to me...if they did, Itachi would not be in his current situation in the manga...*sigh*
"You have got to be kidding me!" shouted Naruto. Sasuke looked up from his book and stared in amazement as he saw his brother Itachi walking toward himself, Naruto, and Sakura, dressed in black and red board shorts and carrying some sort of ball in his right arm. Sakura lifted her sunglasses and stared at the older Uchiha, a faint red across her cheeks.
"Hey," said Itachi, once he got to the trio, "Want to play volleyball?"
Both Naruto and Sasuke looked at Itachi, mouths open, unsure of how to reply. Sasuke knew that his older brother hated the beach. He hated the heat, the sun, everything about the beach. Itachi raised an eyebrow at Sasuke.
"Are you alright, Sasuke?" asked Itachi. Noticing what he and Naruto were doing, Sasuke closed his mouth and hit Naruto upside the head.
"Hey, that hurt, dobe!" shouted Naruto, gingerly rubbing his head.
"Do you want to play or not, Sasuke?" asked Itachi once more.
"Why?" asked Sasuke in response, "You hate the beach and everything about it, aniki."
"I was bored at the hotel," replied Itachi, "So, do you or not?"
Sakura rose to her feet, taking off her sunglasses and tossing them on her pink towel.
"I will," replied the young woman, "I was bored listening to Naruto complaining."
Sakura walked over to Itachi and took the ball from the elder Uchiha's arm. Sasuke sat his book to the side and stood up too.
"Sure, I'll play," replied Sasuke, "I already read that book three times this week."
Sasuke and Sakura looked at Naruto. After a couple of minutes, the blonde teen sighed.
"Fine! I'll play too!"
Naruto watched as Sakura made the first serve of the game. He and Sasuke were on the same team. Itachi had chosen Sakura to be on his team, knowing that she played volleyball for her high school. After Naruto complained about that not being fair, Sasuke hit Naruto once more on the side of the head and nearly drug him to the opposite side of the net.
Naruto and Sasuke watched as Sakura flawlessly served the ball over the net and toward a spot between the boys. Itachi smirked as both Naruto and Sasuke ran into one another trying to hit the ball, both of them falling onto the sand, the ball hitting behind them.
"Dobe!" shouted Naruto, "I had that!"
"Did not, teme!" shouted Sasuke in return as he got up and dusted off his blue board shorts," I had it!"
Naruto got up.
"Thanks to you, I have sand in my shorts!" muttered Naruto. Sasuke grabbed the ball and tossed it over the net at Itachi. Itachi caught it and handed it over to Sakura. When Naruto and Sasuke were ready, Sakura made another flawless serve.
"We kicked your asses," said Itachi as he, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto grabbed a bite to eat.
"You cheated, Itachi!" exclaimed Naruto, "Sakura was on your team!"
"What does that have to do with it, Naruto?" asked Sakura, glaring at Naruto. The blonde teen gulped slightly as he took a bite of his burger. Itachi smirked at the sight.
"Do you want to play another game after we eat?" asked Itachi.
"NO!" exclaimed both Naruto and Sasuke simultaneously.
"Good," replied Itachi, "I don't want to have to kick your ass two times in a row."
