Next Generation Characters
Haru Otonashi - Io and Tsumiki's oldest child. Has dark hair that reaches mid-back and always looks unbrushed with violet eyes. Both her and her brother are intelligent but she is slightly cold and stoic although she actually cares much for her brother. She is a good cook like her parents but sometimes switches one ingredient with another without knowing until her brother, parents, or friends taste it. Whenever she's around Shin she suddenly grows wolf ears since she has a crush on him. She knows of her brother's crush on Takara and doesn't agree with him about it.
Kazuki Otonashi - Io and Tsumiki's youngest child. Has purplish-blue hair that reaches his waist but in a ponytail reaches mid-back and black eyes. Both him and his sister are intelligent although he does not speak much but is kind at heart. He is a good cook like his parents and can easily tell when his sister switches one ingredient with another. Whenever he's embarrassed, shocked, startled, or surprised he suddenly grows fox ears. He has a small crush on Takara although his sister and Takara's brother say otherwise.
Shin Inui - Sakaki and Mayoi's oldest son and Takara's twin brother. Has blond hair that reaches his shoulders and green eyes that darken when he's angry. He is a mechanic/scientist like his mother but is not accident-prone like his father at all. He doesn't know about Haru's crush on him and instead focuses his attention on Kazuki's crush on his sister by warning him that if he hurts her, he hurts him.
Takara Inui - Sakaki and Mayoi's oldest daughter and Shin's twin sister. Has bright orange hair in a wild fashion and brown eyes that are partially covered by her bangs. She helps her brother with his inventions until it either explodes in their faces or it is completed and doesn't explode. She knows of Kazuki's crush on her but whenever he's not around she threatens her brother after he threatens Kazuki.
Akira Mao Haruno - Hime's only child. Has knee-length brown hair with short bangs that frame her face and amber-brown eyes. She is the complete opposite of her mother: instead of being a clumsy ditz she is light on her feet and instead of being air-headed she is really smart but hides it in fear of being bullied. She tries to get Takara and Kazuki together as well as Shin and Haru.
Kiyoshi Izumi - Konata's oldest son and the Otonashi siblings' cousin. Has blue hair that curls slightly around his face and silver eyes. He is the Otonashi siblings' cousin on their mother's side. He likes pulling pranks and watching their reactions when they don't know it's him but always makes sure not to pull a prank on his sister since he'll get in trouble. He tries helping Akira Mao to get his cousins and their crushes together, although he fails most of the time.
Naoko Izumi - Konata's only daughter and the Otonashi siblings' cousin. Has pale green hair that curls to her knees with yellow from her waist to her knees and dark green eyes. She is the Otonashi siblings' cousin on their mother's side. She can easily tell if her brother is going to pull a prank on her and immediately chews him out. She loves giving advice to her cousins and warning them of her brother's mischief. She is the only one that supports Kazuki's crush on Takara.
Hikari Ryuu - Kagami's oldest child. She has silver hair that reaches mid-back and purple eyes. She is hard-working like her mother but there are some moments when she forgets to do her homework. She loves small and cute animals so she'll start 'aw'ing the second the Otonashi siblings' animal ears pop up. She is oblivious to the Otonashi siblings' crushes to the Inui twins and doesn't know about it until someone tells her the reason of the different situations they're in.
Kurai Ryuu - Kagami's youngest child. She has purple hair that reaches her waist in curls at the end and dark gray eyes that look like the sea at night. Even though she has a boy's name, she is a tomboy unlike her older sister. She loves sports, anime, and being fit even when she doesn't have school or if it's winter. She knows about the Otonashi siblings' crushes to the Inui twins but doesn't like to interfere so she doesn't do anything.
Ai Mabushii - Tsukasa's only child. She has silver-blue hair with purple highlights that reaches her shoulders and dark blue eyes that turn purple when she feels down. She is a cross between a girly girl and a tomboy, she loves to shop and has a great fashion sense but doesn't like to wear dresses or makeup. She is the only one that partially succeeds in having the Inui twins see the Otonashi siblings' crushes on them, but fails most of the time.
Māomī Takeshi - Miyuki's only child. He has dark pink hair, a combination of his parents' hair colors, that reaches almost to the middle of his back and amber eyes that sometimes will have a predatory gleam in them when he starts pulling pranks. He is smart like his mother but is sometimes never direct when he speaks. He pretends to be oblivious to Kurai's crush on him. He can be irritated though when people call him by his first name instead of his last name.
