Title: Wondering
Rating: K
Summary: 2nd story to Sunstreaker's Woes, told from Sideswipe's point of view on earth. Apparently, this bunny wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it down.
Disclaimer: Transformers is the rights of Hasbro and thus I own nothing. :(
Like I said the bunny would not leave me alone until I wrote this fic, so trust me there will be a third part to this. For now read on!
Sideswipe stood looking up at the vast sky that was earth, his optics gazing at each star visible to him. It was a beauty of earth that he enjoyed upon first arrival after Optimus Prime contacted him and Jolt. Of course Cybertron had stars as well, but they were so much different here on earth, being in a totally different galaxy then Cybertron.
Still the beauty of the sky could not fill the ache in his spark that was missing from his other half. See Sideswipe was a little bit different from the other autobot's, because he had a brother. But he wasn't just a brother; he was his twin brother, Sunstreaker.
It had been to long since he had last seen or felt his brother.
In human standards it had been two earth years since he had come here, but it was two long years for him. Neither he nor his twin had been apart from each other like this for so long and it was starting to take its toll on him.
Sure he still preformed his duties like usual, but on the inside he was a wreck, wondering and waiting.
Sideswipe hated not knowing if his brother was alive or not, since the last he saw Sunstreaker was when he was leaving. Sunstreaker had been injured in a battle prior to his leaving and was not able to come with. But there had been no word as to whether or not his twin was fixed and on his way.
He opened his half of their spark reaching out, hoping to feel even a little touch of his brother… but there was nothing.
He released a sigh and cast his head downwards, making a small gesture over his chest. //Please Sunny get here soon// he whispered over their bond, knowing that it might have been futile if it never reached the other mech.
A hand descended onto his shoulder, and he spun around quickly having not heard someone else approach. It was Ratchet and he was looking at the silver mech with deep concern.
"What trouble's you youngling?" he asked as Sideswipe looked away again. His hand never left his chest and the medic looked down and he understood immediately. "He will come. I've know you two long enough now to know nothing keeps either of you apart."
Sideswipe nodded his head. "I know, but it just feels so empty without him here now."
The medic squeezed his shoulder lightly. "Don't give up yet youngling, he will be here sooner then you think."
"Yeah, I guess." He whispered not noticing the glare the medic had given him.
Author Notes: This turned out better then I thought it would. I added Ratchet at the end because it always seemed like a good parental figure to the twins, despite all the complaints he has about those two. Deep down we all now the medic has a soft spot for those two even if they cause him hell!
Thanks for reading and please review and I'll post the third part of this story up as soon as possible.
