Chapter one

One day, it was a beautiful, yet typical day. That was when I met him. We were both studying for the upcoming final exam that day. We both saw each other and decided that maybe we could be friends. "Hi, I noticed that you were studying alone. We've never met, but I was wondering if we can actually study together." He said. "Oh! Sure! Nice to meet you umm, I didn't quite catch your name." I answered. "Oh! I'm sorry. My name is Jude." "Well then. Hello Jude." I smiled. "My name is Lucy." "Lucy, what a beautiful name…" "O-oh t-thank you Jude…" I stuttered, while feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. He noticed and started to laugh, "Ha-ha! We've just met, are you already starting to fall for me?" He started to tease. "W-what? No! And how rude of you to say such things when we barely met!" "Oh. I'm sorry, I was just giving you a hard time," "I didn't think that you would take it seriously…" My face softened, he meant it. He was being sincere. "No, it's okay," I started to say reassuringly. "It's not like you meant it, did you? Besides, I over reacted!" "No, I didn't mean it. You didn't over react, I shouldn't have said that in the first place…" I started to smile, "It's okay though, it was just a silly joke." He also started to smile, "Okay." After that, we continued to study. He occasionally helped me, and I occasionally helped him. After a while, he broke the silence. "Hey, umm, would you like to hang out again sometime?" He asked hesitantly. "Yes, I would love to. Where would you like to go?" "I know this great burger and milkshake place, how about there?" "Yea, that sounds great!" "Awesome! Is this weekend okay?" "Yep! Got nothing to do!" I started to say enthusiastically. "Here's my number." "Okay, I'll give you mine too." We exchanged numbers and started to say goodbye. "Well, I need to get home soon. It was nice meeting you though!" "Oh," I started to say a little disappointed. "Then maybe I should start going home too. It was really nice that I got to meet you also." He noticed the disappointment in my voice. "Awe, come on cheer up! We got the weekend plans, remember? And we could hang out again tomorrow too!" I started to smile, "Yea, I guess you're right. Well now I should probably start heading home then. It has gotten rather late, hasn't it?" "Yes, it really has. Goodbye, I hope to see you tomorrow!" "Bye." We started to walk away. 'Jude is a really nice guy, I'm looking forward to seeing him again.' I started to think.
