Artist's Love
I recall the day when you drifted through the door,
You didn't look like much, standing there.
You look around the room, many eyes on you, from embarrassment your eyes fall to the floor.
I let my eyes scan over you, your bight blue eyes and your long blonde hair.
As I recall the first moments of our meeting,
I'm reminded by our differences, my art everlasting
While your art is quick and fleeting.
My art poisons and takes lives slowly, while your art is noisy and constantly 'blasting.'
For now I'll watch you from far away,
My feelings for you I keep at bay.
Because I know that you would be dismayed.
But I was the one who was in dismay.
So I now am 'everlasting' for you.
So remember this as you move on without me: "I love you too…"
