Being part fairy, Edward Cullen has the possibility to fly. Edward decided to one day to try to fly. He decided to try near a cliff that he was going to jump off of. He thought of the happiest thing he could and started to run.
As he approached the edge of the cliff, the sun broke through the clouds and shone down on him. Edward's happy thoughts disappeared as he began to wonder why he had to sparkle. He fell off the cliff with a great thump. A loud "OW," was heard throughout the forest.
That is why Edward can run so fast. He glides because every time he is about to fly that memory pops up and keeps him close to the ground.
