Hey everyone this is my first story here on Fanfiction so go easy on me...it's pretty short and it sucks but I'm very open to constructive critisism! Also, this story is pretty old, so it may not be my absolute BEST work. Please enjoy! :)

Sleeping Beauty

As the afternoon sun slowly rippled across the sky scrapers above New York City, a young boy named Jake Long was skating across the sidewalk, deep in thought.

"l wonder how I'll tell her....", he mumbled to himself as he dodged a woman also walking along the sidewalk. "Maybe Luna will say she loves me back but, what if she doesn't like me?...What if she knows l also like Rose? Tsk, love is so confusing..."

As Jake neared the shop, he sighed, still pondering. He had a feeling that the love of his life, at least one of them at least, was waiting at his grandfather's shop like she said she would.

He stopped in front of the doors in front of his grandpa's shop and slowly opened the door. "Hey Fu what's goin' on?" he announced as he looked at Fu Dog at the front desk. The sharpay put his finger to his lips.

"Sssh," he said as he gestured to a sleeping Luna on the couch, "she was waiting for you, but she fell asleep."

Jake looked at her. "Oh, oh right...sorry." Fu walked up to Luna and pulled the blanket more over on her, since she was shivering. "l gotta' go take care of something in the back, you go watch her." And Fu walked off through the curtain.

Jake looked at her, and tiptoed over to the sleeping she-dragon. He knew she was a bit of a heavy sleeper but no one can be too careful. As he looked over her, he gently ran his hand across her wavy, brown hair that shined with blonde highlights against the light in the room. He smiled as she sighed contently in her sleep. Jake just stared at her fierce but gentle beauty...it was almost hypnotizing.

Suddenly, Luna stirred and Jake froze; she, however, just turned to lay on her stomach. The young dragon heaved a heavy sigh as his cheeks turned a bright red. Jake snapped his head around when he found out her necklace was missing, but was relived when he saw that her necklace was on the table. He held the charm in his hands, the golden chain gently gliding off his hand as he touched the blue crescent moon charm that hung from it. A small charge went through his body that only a dragon could feel...the same feeling was felt whenever Jake stared into Luna's deep cerulean eyes...

While Jake was distracted, Luna's eyes glided open. She stood still as Jake turned to look at her, the electric charge zipping up and down his spine. "H-hey", he stammered as Luna sort of smirked.

"Hello," she answered as she got up as gracefully as the ocean's current. "l didn't hear you come in"

Jake rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah well ya' know when a guy's gotta roll he's gotta-" Before he could finish, Luna hugged Jake, to his surprise. Jake blushed, and Luna giggled. To Jake, her laugh was like gentle music...he loved it just as he loved everything about her.

"I'm just glad you're here," she said, playing with his hair.

"Me too..," Jake murmured as he shut his eyes, holding Luna in his embrace. As the she-dragon gently laid her head against his chest, the other dragon ran his hand through her soft hair again. Before they both drifted into sleep, Jake murmered,"l love you, my Sleeping Beauty". But, he was too late, for Luna was already asleep, Jake soon following.
