* Here is something between a family* *Lessons in Leaving by Jo Dee Messina*
A Hazzard County Homecoming:
"The Boar's Nest", A real known hangout in Hazzard County, was getting ready for a big celebration, Pamela & Kit Duke are here on their tour, & Rosco had a idea of surprising the Dukes, he thought to himself, as he laughed his trademark giggle.
Rosco (thinking to himself laughing): Gee, Gee, Gee, I'll have those Dukes on a Phony Ticket, & then Pamela & Kit would surprise them, then it would be nice if something good happens around here once in awhile. I love it.
He went over to the girls & discusses his plan with them, & they love it, they rehearsed for the party that night, "Lessons in Leaving", when they were done, the House Band took a break,Rosco told the girls this.
Rosco: You sound mighty pretty there, Girls.
The girls smiled & said this in unison & smiling to the Sheriff/Commissioner.
Pamela & Kit (in unison, smiling): Thanks, Rosco.
He went to the call the Dukes & have them come to "The Boar's Nest", he can't wait to see the look on the Dukes' faces to his surprise.
He came back & told them this.
Rosco: They are on their way, I am gonna leave you all alone, so you can enjoy your visit.
They thanked him once more, & they called the House Band back on to the stage, they rehearsed "Lessons in Leaving" once more, as they rehearsed , they didn't notice their family coming in, muttering about not having a ticket, & they were following the law, they looked up & were amazed about the music, they listened to their family members sing.
They finished & Daisy, Bo, & Luke were cheering & applauding, the girls & the House Band took their bows, & the band went off to take a break, & the girls said this to each other teasingly, as they looked lovingly at their family members.
Pamela (teasingly): This can't be the same family that raised us, can't it, Cousin?
Kit (teasingly): Nah, Our family is way better looking.
Everyone laughed, & they exchanged hugs, kisses, & emotions, they updated each other on their lives, & Bo & Luke had questions.
Bo: How did you get here?
Luke: Yeah, we weren't supposed to see y'all until the end of the year.
Daisy had the answer immediately, & she said exclaiming this to her cousins.
Daisy (exclaiming): Rosco!
Just then Rosco came out of his office, & he said this to the Dukes.
Rosco: I wanted to surprise you, their Tour Manager, Sally, she wanted a new venue to play, & so I suggested here, I knew how much you missed your girls, so this is my present from me to you.
They thanked the Sheriff/Commissioner, & Rosco went back to work, while the Dukes enjoyed their time together, & that night, Rosco introduced them, & the place went nuts, & Bo, Daisy, & Luke couldn't be any happier. Bo made a toast to his cousins.
Bo (raising his Beer glass in the air): Here's to family.
Daisy (raising her Beer glass in the air like Bo's): I'll drink to that.
Luke ( raising his Beer glass in the air like his cousins'): Hear, Hear.
They clinked their glasses together, & took a drink, they watched the girls' performance like everyone else.
