Dear Baby-
Today mummy and I found out you are a little girl. I cried; tears of joy. I can't believe I am YOUR daddy, my little princess. I hope you look just like your mummy. Wait until you meet her. You won't be able to stop looking at her, she is so beautiful. I hope you have her beautiful luminous blue eyes. I want you to have her patience and sense of humor too. Your mummy is magical. She is perfect. I want you to know that I'm still terrified, but every time I think about you, my heart swells. I can't believe mummy and I actually made you. It was technically impossible, but we wished for you so hard and we love each other so much, that you had to be. Sweetheart, I am so sorry that there is so much I won't be able to do for you. I feel so unsure and insecure about everything. Nonetheless, you and mummy keep me going. You make me feel excited. I worry when I think about mummy having to feed you and me at the same time. It will be so hard on her. You mum is fearless and tireless. Always know that. She puts up with me.
I love laying my face next to you. You've started to become visible to us now. Mummy's belly is so cute, especially when you are moving around in there. I love that I make you move when I sprinkle you with kisses or when I talk to you. Princess, always know that you will always be able to talk to me about anything. I can't wait to talk to you...like a proper dad should. I am going to teach you so many things. I may not have a body that works, but count on this...I will give you everything that I am able with my mind. Sweetheart, your daddy will always encourage you to live boldly and push yourself. Daddy never wants you to settle. I tell this to your mummy all the time and I will do the same to you. My darling daughter, you are scored on my heart since the moment we found out you were on your way. You've changed my life already, you and mummy together; more than you could ever understand. I was once an adventurer, but YOU are my greatest adventure.
