"Lots and lots of choices; too many choices," Sora thought as he searched though the foreign worlds one by one trying to find his friends. There were so many worlds and no way to know where his friends were.

With every world he would visit, the little bit of hope our hero had left would dwindle just a tiny bit more. Despite that, his hope never completely ran out; somewhere, deep down, he believed in being reunited with Riku and Kairi. …Or maybe that loyalty was just another way of saying that he was too foolish to accept the truth in front of his face.

"Sora," A familiar auburn-haired female's voice called. "Sora, come on! I need an answer!"

Sora fought heartless after big gigantic heartless, secretly wishing his friends could see him as he got stronger. After that, he fought nobody after nobody, only to come across the Organization members that controlled them. And, after all that fighting, sweat, blood, and tears, his friends were still nowhere to be found. Kairi was supposed to be on the island, but had gotten kidnapped… Then he got his friends back and defeated the nobody behind it all.

"SORA!" The female voice now yelled. You could hear fingers tapping.

Too many choices! "Okay, okay…I'll take…," The keyblade master bit on the fingernail of his thumb, "vanilla!" A silver-haired boy that was sitting next to him shook his head, laughing quietly at his friend, eating his own ice cream.

Of course, things have changed for Sora, Riku, and Kairi since the old adventure days. They were two years older now, and they were finally home, just like Sora wanted it. In retrospect, things turned out okay. Kairi works at the ice cream parlor with Riku, and Sora works as a bag boy for the grocery store across the street (there was only two jobs available at the ice cream shop; Sora drew the short straw, so to speak.), so they can still all hang out. They usually spent lunch together, even if they weren't on the job.

One thing Sora hated most about this new life with jobs and school was the outfits. Seriously, that stupid, uncomfortable bag boy outfit drove him mad. Not to mention that Riku made fun of him because he had to "dress up". They were just khakis – stupid, stupid khakis. Kairi and Riku got lucky; they could still wear normal jeans to their job.

Kairi had gone in the back to find the vanilla, but, alas, her now uncertain voice rang out once again from the hallway leading to the freezer. "Um…we've got a small problem."

"Yea, Kairi?" Sora looked at his friend from the table he was sitting at.

"We're out of vanilla."

Now, the silver-haired boy sitting next to Sora let out an audible laugh this time. "So many choices, so little time, right, Sora?"

"Well, you're lucky, Riku. They still had chocolate." He pouted. Okay, so maybe Sora hasn't changed much. He's still naive and adorable.
