yawn* i woke up this morning expecting the best of my birthday as any girl does however my twin brother red had to rain on my parade saying "Leaf don't forget today is the day we will get our pokemon." i then replied "yeah but so will blue i've hated him since he has begun bullying us don't you agree brother?" red then stated "that may be true but blue can't hope to defeat us remember i studied pokemon and i'll be traveling with you sis." i replied "i guess so but enough of that we need to go see mom before we leave." red noded in agreement and we walked downstairs to greet mom mom said "happy birthday to you both i am so glad to have two beautiful children like you." we both said "thanks mom we'll visit we promise." we then walked to professor oaks laboratory to find blue along with his grandfather oak himself blue spoke to the two of us saying "hah you actually botherd to come you losers i'll demolish the both of you and prove i'm a cut above you red." my brother ignored him while i could not i shouted "YEAH WELL I'LL SHOW YOU MISTER!" red shocked at my behavior said "Leaf do you really want to stoop to his level?" i then said "yeah your right lets behave and let the professor prepare us for our journey." oak then said "well now that you chrildren are done arguing let's begin my name is profesor oak i study pokemon i have a present for all three of you your own pokemon i'll let red choose first." blue in an angry manner said "grandad why him why not me?" oak replied "blue you will be right after red i promise." red then said "thank you professor i choose this one." red picked up charmander's pokeball then blue got to choose "i want this one." blue took squirtles pokeball blue then insulted me saying "well looks like the dumb one got the worst pokemon of the bunch." i ignored him and said to professor oak "thank you sir bulbasaur is my favorite starter pokemon anyway he's just so cute!" i grinned from ear to ear professor oak then said "everyone here is your pokedex and pokeballs to start your journey make sure not to lose them it's very important." and with that we began leaving except blue wanted to battle the two of us blue provoked my brother saying "hey red let's battle with our pokemon i doubt you'll win any way." red calmly replied "if that is what you want so be it." i took to the walls of the lab to watch the battle with my bulbasaur red was the first to attack "charmander scratch." blue responded instantly "squirtle tackle." it looked like an even fight until red finished the fight in one blow "charmander scratch let's finish this!" blue's squirtle could no longer battle so my brother won i ran to congratulate him "red you won i am so happy you won!" blue then announced "don't get too happy leaf i'll destroy you and your brother someday." "whats eating at him?" red questions "who cares blue isn't worth our time anyway." i conclude professor oak then approached us "both of you i want you to be safe so take this." oak handed red a town map "so your first destination should be pewter city for your first gym battle." we both bid our farewells to oak and left to begin our journey at long last.
