Trisha smiled into his hair, his arms wrapped around her waist and head buried in her chest. Her hand threaded itself through his long locks, brushing knots out of them. "It's time for bed though alright? I know you would like to stay up longer, but then you'll be tired in the morning. I'll stay with you until you go to sleep ok?" She said, pulling him back and holding his face gently between his hands. She ran a finger across the large scar on his forehead, giving him a gentle smile. "Nothing is going to harm you, not while I'm around" she said softly, taking one of his hands and gently leaning him to his room.

Along the way, she stopped to let him hug her again, smoothing his hair and repeating the process over and over again. Trisha didn't mind though, he wasn't trying to harm anything, he simply wanted her affection. "Come on, we are almost there, it not much longer" she said, looking into the glazed eyes of the boy. Trisha gave him another smile , prompting him to give one back, a grin that her laugh "why don't you smile like that more often? It makes you look even prettier " she teased, watching as he gave her an even bigger smile.

Trisha opened the door to his room, the lights of the carousel like music box swirling around the room. She watched, smiling as he reached up his hands, to try and touch the animal shaped lights before looking back at her with wide eyes. It was like a new discovery for him every time. She allowed him to stand there for a minute, to watch the swirling animal lights before laying her hands gently on his shoulder and side, slowly leading him to the bed on the other side of the room. His eyes never left the lights, his eyes reflecting what he saw.

"It's time to sleep now" Trisha said gently, sitting him on the bed. She got on her knees, unlacing and pulling off his shoes. She rubbed the under side of his foot, causing him to jerk it back with a laugh. "Arms up" she said, swapping, mimicking the position so that he would copy it. She gave him a softer shirt to sleep in, tapping his nose once she pulled it down. It made him wrinkle his face and go cross eyed. She swapped his pants for some cotton shorts, tickling his feet again.

Trisha pulled back the covers, helping him situate under the blanket. She tucked item around his body, making sure he wouldn't be cold. She turned on the music of the carousel light box, sitting down on the edge of the bed. She hummed along with it, watching his eyes flutter as he watched the lights. Trisha moved the hair out of his face, running a finger across the blotched lobotomy scar. "Nothing is going to harm you anymore, not while I'm around , William " Trisha said, watching Williams eyes close as he drifted off to sleep.
