"Come on! We're gonna be late!" Lily Shepard-Gibbs called up the stairs to their parents who were still getting ready.
"We're coming!" Jenny Shepard-Gibbs called to her daughters before she and her husband Leroy Jethro Gibbs ran down the stairs.
"We've got Jasper and Emma" Lily's twin sister Milly informed her parents, gesturing to her baby siblings who were in their car seats behind them.
"Let's get this show on the road" Gibbs said before he and his wife took a car seat each and they all walked out to their car.
Lily and Milly got into the seats in the trunk of the car before tying themselves in and Jenny and Gibbs put Jasper and Emma into the normal seats. The couple got into the front and Gibbs turned on the car.
"You guys ready to go?" Jenny asked.
"Yep" Lily and Milly replied from the trunk.
Gibbs nodded before they drove to First Night DC. Eventually they got there. The six got out of the car and Jenny got the baby carriers out. She wrapped Jasper in her carrier and Gibbs did the same with Emma.
They all walked to an empty area. Well, it had five people standing there. Gibbs's team at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and Lily, Milly, Jasper and Emma's "siblings" Tony DiNozzo, Ziva David, Tim McGee and Abby Sciuto, the forensic scientist and the Medical Examiner Doctor Donald "Ducky" Mallard, the children's "grandfather".
"Hey guys" Jenny said before hugs were shared between all of them.
"I can't believe this year's hours from being over already. It feels like yesterday we found out Mom was having twins" Milly stated.
"I know right?!" McGee exclaimed.
"It's been a good year though" Gibbs replied and everyone else nodded in agreement.
"We gained two new members to our family" Ducky said.
"Some of us found love" Tony added, looking down admiringly at Ziva who kissed him on the cheek.
"And we had some really good fun" Abby reminded them with a grin, thinking of the game of Truth Or Dare they had played.
The others laughed, knowing what Abby was thinking about.
"It truly has been a great year" Ziva said.
They all stood there at 2200, talking and laughing about almost everything until 2359.
"3, 2, 1! Happy New Year!" Everyone who was in the zone for Eastern Standard Time yelled.
Jenny and Gibbs kissed, and so did Tony and Ziva and the others hugged. Once they had all let go, they looked at the fireworks display.
"Happy New Year Lil" Milly whispered to Lily as she hugged her sister once again.
"Happy New Year Mils" Lily replied quietly to Milly.
