If there was one hobby besides fashion that Galinda was truly proficient at, snooping would have to take the crown. It was an art that most of the Gillikinese had mastered, and the blonde was no exception.
After a conversation (if one could even call it as such) with her prickly roommate, that hadn't been all-together satisfying, Galinda decided that this would be a matter that she'd take into her own hands.
As Elphaba left their shared room in a frenzy of black cloaks, well-used books, and verdant skin, Galinda found that she couldn't resist honing the skill that she had had to wait until this very moment to perform since her arrival at Shiz.
She tiptoed across the space to the green woman's side, which until this moment, had been strictly off-limits for reasons Galinda didn't quite understand. Elphaba didn't seem to have brought much with her, so what exactly was she so intent on concealing?
Coming up to the side of the drab bed that Elphaba had claimed, she took a sweep with keen, sapphire eyes to mark the position of the items. She did this so that she could leave Elphaba's belongings all where she had originally found them, without hinting that she had been there.
At first glance, the small wooden nightstand would've been her first choice in places to look, had she not noticed a worn, brown edge of something that was just peeking out from the decidedly ill-colored pillowcase. Cautiously, Galinda pulled out what appeared to be a small book. However, upon closer inspection, it became obvious that it was much, much more.
"Elphaba keeps a diary?" Galinda whispered to no one in particular.
As she began reading, it became clear that from a young age, Elphaba had had a way with words. The letters seemed to mingle and dance together across the delicately worn pages, and it soon became very clear that Elphaba was different. And it was not just her verdigris; Elphaba Thropp was a dangerous woman, and for all the wrong reasons.
