"Hey, Minato-sensei, we came to ask for your help." Kakashi said politely "You see..."
"Oh, an outing." Rin exclaimed joyfully "I'd love to come!"
"Actually." Kakashi intervened before things got ugly "Only me and the knucklehead over there are invited, so you and sensei will have to sit this one out." he said, pointing to Obito.
"Is everything in place?" Kakashi asked
"Hmph. I don't understand why I was invited here."
"Are you sure?" Kakashi asked slyly
"What does that mean?"
"It means, considering your personal feelings, you should feel joyous to be here, preparing this. Hard worker catches the fish, as they say." Kakashi said innocently
Obito immediately blushed scarlet red
"Now get to work." Kakashi said, shoving a pile of ribbons into Obito's arms "Minato and Rin nearly finished buying all the items from the list, so we've gotta hurry."
"Are you sure this is everything we need, sensei?" Rin asked
Minato gulped

"If you two get back before nightfall, I'll Chidori your ass." Kakashi said
(end flashback)
"Not quite." Minato lied "We still need a bunch of stuff."
He was ready to accept his fate if it meant saving his hide.
