My first Star Wars poem ever! It's in Anakin's point of view, set sometime during the war. When I wrote it, I always imagined that he never turned to the dark side, but you can read it however you want. :-)

Disclaimer: I don't own anything…*sobs!* Seriously, I couldn't come up with anything half as epic as the Star Wars trilogies if my life depended on it. I just wrote this for fun…and because I was bored. Am I ever going to need polynomials anyway? (If you don't know what those are, it just proves my point!) Anyway, I'm not making any money off of this, and I don't own this, so please don't get mad at me. For those of you still reading this boring and unnecessarily long disclaimer, sorry to waste your time! :-)

I love everything about you,
Your face, your smile, your eyes,
You're compassionate and forgiving,
My beautiful Angel in disguise,

I'd give anything to make you happy,
You already own my heart,
I know it hurts when I leave you,
I hate it when we're apart,

I tell you that they're not true,
The rumors of my death are lies,
You hold onto me for dear life,

We only get a few minutes,
Every second of which I'll hold dear,
Soon I'll be shipped off to war again,
After all, I'm the Hero with No Fear,

The Hero with No Fear, the Chosen One,
These titles mean nothing to me,
I just want to be your husband, Angel,
There's nothing else I'd rather be.

Chancellor Palpatine is a good man,
But his treatment of you, I despise,
He's a friend, but you're so much more to me,
My soul-mate, my Angel in disguise,

Every word you say, every treaty you suggest,
He's against everything you say or do,
All you need to do is say the words,
I'll end my friendship with him if you want me to,

I listen to the Jedi Council,
Their words I usually obey,
They don't know I broke the code,
I will always belong to you, Padmé,

I'd leave them if you asked me to,
But you're too kind for that, too smart,
You know the Jedi need me for this war,
You know, but it still breaks your heart,

I'll walk the ground of all planets,
Travel across all endless skies,
I promise, I'll always return to you,
My beautiful Angel in disguise,

The time has come, and I must go,
They don't even have to tell me anymore,
I can sense what they're about to say,
I have to go fight again in this war,

You collapse into my waiting arms,
I hear your heartbreaking cries,
I promise I'll come back to you,
I love you, my Angel in disguise,
