Summary: A little post Super Bowl fluff. For those of you who missed it, the New York Giants and New England Patriots played in the Super Bowl last Sunday. The CNU gang is deciding who to root for in the Super Bowl.
The group is gathered in a U shaped booth at Sloan's the Friday night before the Super Bowl.
"Who are you rooting for now that the Chargers are out of it?" Duff asks Matt passing him a beer.
Lia stares at Duff as if he just asked the dumbest question in the world.
"What?" Duff asks innocently, wondering what was so wrong with his question.
"Emily is from New York," Lia explains in a tone that makes it known she believes this fact should have been obvious to Duff. She thumps him on the back of the head to prove her point.
"I'm a guy. I don't remember that kind of stuff," Duff scoffs.
"Just because I'm rooting for the Giants doesn't mean Matt has to," Emily reasons, liking for them to retain their independence even though they are a couple.
"Maybe he is sticking to our division," Franks adds, referring to the fact that Matt might want to root for the AFC team.
"But the Giants are the underdogs," Lia counters, making her choice known.
The group continues to analyze the reasons to root for each team, and place bets on their chosen team until the gathering of CNU workers starts to break up.
"So you are rooting for the Giants right?" Emily asks with a teasing smile as they walk to her car.
Matt just laughs and offers confidently, "Let's just say I'll take you out to dinner next week with my winnings." He knows Em bet on the Giants and will probably be out a good chunk of spending cash next week.
"Care to make a personal side bet?" Emily asks suggestively as she slides into the driver's seat.
"What did you have in mind?" Matt asks, smiling as he raises his eyebrows in question and anticipation of her antics.
She gives him a 'you know what I have in mind look' that has him wondering which team he's going to root for.
