"buddy.. this is ridiculous can we just go eat lunch at a restaurant? You know like MOST couples do.." Violet grumbled stomping through the hallways of a rather large abandoned city. It caved most of the treasures that lay hidden beneath it, much to Violet's temper it only irritated her more that she had dressed up only to be in an archaeological field. pouting to herself Violet curved her arm beneath her knees, hugging her dress to her body and planting her rump on a rock.
"This bites.." she said through the corner of her mouth, letting her chin rest on her fist.
"Babe!?" She heard.
His voice roused her slightly, but she had already clambered up those rocks in two inch heels no less.This date had definitely not been what she was expecting, or hoping for that matter.
"Buddy you said it would be unforgettable and really..this is not what I was visioning.." she yelled to him, where ever he was.
"Look up.."and she did. To see her boyfriend of three years staring right down into her cleavage.
"birds eye view,eh?"
"couldn't be better.." he smiled in his suit and knelt to kiss her.Pulling away violet shook her head.
"Buddy, baby, really.. can we go somewhere where…where I don't feel so silly?" She lifted her heel pointing at her painted toes sheepishly and he hovered down to eye level and knelt on a rock.
"What are you doing.."
His arms reached behind him, the mischievous grin on his face slowly began to dissipate.With his eyes followed a type of sincerity she had never felt before and before her a tiny velvety box.
"Mr.Pine.."
"Violet, I know that this is kind of uncalled for but just look at you…How could I not ask?"
Choking on her words, Violet covered her mouth. The tears building as the box opened, a glimmering diamond on a simple silver band caught her off guard, she felt her heart jump into her throat.
