"Don't go. Please? For me?" She begged.
"I have to, Annabeth. Not for me but for my people." He said his sea green eyes looking into her silver ones.
Percy was assigned to go on a quest. To another world. The kingdom of Ice. His kningdom was tied with the Ice kingdom because of the relationship he had with them. He was the nephew of the Ice king.
"I know. But I don't want you to leave." She says pouring all her emotions into those words.
"I don't want to leave you but it's my duty as king." He took her hands and looked at her face, wanting to memorize every detail.
"If you must go, take this," she said taking off her simple leather necklace and handing it over to him,"so you remember me."
"Like I could forget you."
He kissed her cheek and steped into the portal that would take him to the Ice kingdom.
Annabeth sunk to her knees as soon as he left, letting out a strangled sob. Her long, flowing red dress bunching around her feet. She looked around the cold Water kingdom throne room. The lone throne stood proud and tall but it's owner was notto
be found. She dried her eyes and walked down the long halls.
She stepped out and told her carriage driver to take her directly home. Directly to the Fire kingdom. When they took off, part if her heart was missing. She had left it in safe hands though. None other than Perseus Jackson's hands.
