D.J. Tanner was asleep in her bed, dreaming. She was walking the halls of the Golden Gate Retirement Home, when she saw a young black man appear in front of her. "Hello, Donna Jo," he said. "Do I know you?" she asked. "You do. I'm Eddie." Then it hit her. She was looking at a young Eddie Johnson! "But-how...?" she stammered. "It's alright. I'm healthy and my true self again," he said, not losing his smile. Out of a nearby door in the hall walked Pamela Tanner, D.J.'s mother! She hooked arms with Eddie. Out of another door on the other side of the hall came Papouli. He took Eddie's other arm. "We have to go now," they told D.J. "But we'll see you again someday." They then vanished before her eyes. D.J. awoke in her bed. It was morning. "That was weird," she said. "What could it mean?" She got out of bed, and padded down to the living room. "D.J.," Danny said. "Could you come over here, please?" he requested. "What is it?" she asked. "Please sit," he said. Jesse and Joey looked sad too. "What's going on?" she demanded. Danny sighed, and began, "Remember your friend, Eddie, from the retirement?" D.J. nodded. She knew where this was going. "He passed away in his sleep last night," Jesse said softly. "I'm sorry, sweetheart." D.J. nodded, with tears in her eyes, but as she realized her dream last night was to prepare her for this news, she also felt comforted, as her dear friend was in a better place now, being comforted.
