I do not own Twilight or the song One of the Boys. Review please.
I saw a spider, I didn't scream
'Cause I can belch the alphabet, just double-dog-dare me
And I chose guitar over ballet
And I'll take these suckers down, 'cause they just get in my way
"Hi, my name's Edward." The little bronze haired boy grinned, sticking his hand out.
The little girl stared at it like it was a venomous snake, poised to strike. She looked up at him with wide brown eyes, and he knew then, she was going to be his best friend.
He had to protect her.
Then, very tentatively, she reached out and grabbed his hand.
"My name's Bella." She whispered, giving him a shy smile.
He grinned back, letting his hand drop to his side.
"Wanna go play on the jungle gym?" He asked, scuffing the toe of his new tennis shoes in the dirt.
"Race ya!" Bella grinned, taking off towards the jungle gym, leaving a gapping Edward behind.
"Hey! That's not fair!" Edward chased after her, a matching grin on his face. "You cheated!" He called to her as she reached the jungle gym several paces ahead of him.
"Nuh uh!" Bella yelled back as quickly and clumsily climbed up the jungle gym.
"Yes huh!" Edward yelled back, chasing her up the bars.
"Nuh uh!" Bella called back, grinning, sitting on a bar at the top.
"Yes huh!" Edward called back, reaching the top and reaching for Bella just as she fell backwards, hanging upside down on the bar to avoid Edward's grasp.
Bella looked up at Edward, a big grin on her face that Edward returned in kind. The grin froze as Bella's legs slipped from the bar and she plummeted the few feet to the ground, landing with a sickening thud in the dirt.
Edward stared down at Bella, his face a mask of horror. As if in a trance, he jumped down, landing beside the stunned Bella, who was staring at the bone sticking out of leg through the muscle and torn tissue, blood everywhere.
And then, she fainted.
