It was Lily Evans first day at Hogwarts School of Wichcraft and Wizardry and she was nervous.She was supposed to take a train from Kings Cross platforn 9 and 3 quarters but she couldnt find the platform anywhere.Her mother had dropped har off and gone to work,she didnt really care about Lily.Lily felt a lump in her throat,she wished her dad was here he would help her . The corners of lilys eyes were pricked with tears "cut it out evans" Lily told herself or you'll miss your train .Lily looked around the platform when she saw a boy carrying an owl so she hurried over to him and asked if he knew how to get onto the platform "you just lean on this bar the boy told her so she did and went straight through,she turned to thank the boy but he was already hurrying off through the crowd to get a seat on the train.Lily pulled her luggage onto the train and looked for an empty seat.She found one in the same compartment as the boy who had helped her where he was sitting with his friends."Do you mind if i sit here"Lily asked the boys"not at all" they replied so Lily sat down and talked to them.It turned out that the boy who had helped her was called Remus Lupin he had brown hair and eyes and he looked rather gentle to Lily.His friends were Sirius Black and James Potter. Sirius looked wild to Lily he had shoulder length black hair and black eyes,James had short black hair that looked as if it had never been brushed and he had the bluest eyes Lily has ever seen.The boys endless chitchat about Quiddich bored Lily and she was almost asleep when a girl about her age ran in she had long blonde hair and eyes that were as blue as james she looked very flustered "whats the matter " asked Lily "i was looking for somewhere to sit when a group of boys threw a foul smelling thing at me so do you mind if i sit here"she panted "sure" lily told her and the girl sat down and they began talking.The girls name was Skye McKinnon and she was Australian she had a twin sister that was starting hogwarts as well.The girls were having a great time testing some Bertie Botts every flavour beans when they were rudely interupted by James yelling "OI IS YOUR HEAD ON FIRE FLAME"this upset Lily because she thoughtJames was her friend so she told him to shutup and went back to chatting to Skye
