Bravery
She was not afraid. Lin Bei Fong did not do afraid. One glance at Tenzin and Pema, they're family and the new baby, she knew what she had to do.
"Whatever happens to me, don't turn back." She had no emotions.
"But, Lin-" Tenzin's voice started, but it was too late. She had already jumped.
Lin started to work right away. She metalbended the ship's cover off and it started descending rapidly. Quickly, she moved to the next Equalist airship and started metalbending the cover off.
A searing pain shot all through her as the Equalist electrocuted her. Then everything went black.
When she came to, Lin was tied up and on the ground, Equalists surrounding her. And Amon was standing in front of her.
His scratchy voice cut through the silence. "Tell me where the Avatar is and I'll let you keep your bending."
In a split second, Lin new she had to make this sacrafice. Her mother would've done it to protect Aang.
"I'll never tell you where she is."
Amon stepped closer to her and she closed her eyes, accepting fate. She felt a gloved finger on her forehead. A cold shiver ran through her and she fell forward face down.
She heard her mother's voice in her head.
"I'm proud of you Lin."
Then everything went black again.
