A/N I've been reading a lot of fanfics lately where the greatest group of cartoon people (Jimmy's gang) turns out to have the worst adult life ever. It just reminded me of this song, The Kids Aren't Alright by The Offspring, I changed the names to fit the story it's really Jamie, Mark, Jay and Brandon. I do nt own Jimmy Neutron or The Kids Aren't Alright.

Libby finished putting on her favorite mini skirt that was a little too short for her own good, but she didn't seem to notice all she noticed was that it matched perfectly with her new tube top. She was putting on her hoop earrings when she dropped one and it rolled under her bed. She bent down to pick it up when she felt something from under her bed and picked it up to look at it.

It was a picture of her old friends, she smiled as her eyes began to water, she hasn't seen them in years. Carl was stand in the middle smiling awkwardly and looking to his right where it showed Cindy and Jimmy holding their hands, they were smiling but just for the picture. The fierce look in their eyes obviously showed them competing on who could squeeze their hand tighter. Libby laughed at the memory of Jimmy and Cindy's 'domestic violence'. To Carl's left she saw a younger version of herself with her elbow on Carl's shoulder, posing and looking cool. Sheen was behind her and Carl with his old goofy look on his face sneaking bunny ears behind their heads.

Libby smiled and touched Sheen's face on the picture gently as a tear escaped her eye. She closed her eyes and held the picture close to her, "What happened?" She thought out loud. A song came to her head and she began to sing it as tears freely strolled down her face.

"When we were young the future was so bright
The old neighborhood was so alive
And every kid on the whole damn street
Was gonna make it big and not be beat

Now the neighborhood's cracked and torn
The kids are grown up but their lives are worn
How can one little street
Swallow so many lives

Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for what used to be
Still it's hard
Hard to see
Fragile lives, shattered dreams

Cindy had a chance, well she really did
Instead she dropped out and had a couple of kids
Sheen still lives at home cause he's got no job
He just plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot

Jimmy committed suicide
Carl OD'd and died
What the hell is going on
The cruelest dream, reality

Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for what used to be
Still it's hard
Hard to see
Fragile lives, shattered dreams

Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for what used to be
Still it's hard
Hard to see
Fragile lives, shattered dreams"

When she finished singing she gently placed the picture on her bed, and looked at it for a minute to make sure it wouldn't vanish out of thin air. Then she wiped all of the evidence of tears from her face. Then she looked at the mirror again and frowned, she stripped her body of the atrocious outfit and put on some jeans and a T-shirt before heading out the door.
