I've had this on my computer for awhile now and finally got around to posting it. I had this idea about pumas being released in Soul Society and this is what came out. Byakuya is my favorite so the story sort of centers on him. sort of.
(I don't own Bleach, wish I did though!)
His black robes blended into the night while his white haori stood out against the darkness. Tonight was the time to strike! No one would suspect the constantly dour man of this particular joke. He didn't play them often and when he did the general population of Seireitei was stricken with awe. Byakuya turned to the petite figure next to him "It is time my love. "
They were everywhere and no one knew how they got there. The pumas came sometime during the night. They appeared like ghosts in the mist. Soul Society didn't think anything was too unusual about animal suddenly appearing for they had tremendous reiatsu enough to pass for a fuktaichou. The first sign they had that something was off was when ten pumas surrounded Momo and attacked. The Pumas were skilled in the way of the Shinigami for when they attacked Momo they made sure she would never be able to continue as a Shinigami.
In the shadows the Puma Master let loose a dark chuckle as the Pumas attacked Momo. Sweet victory was upon them. As the Puma Master turned a shaft of moonlight caught the tail end of an artistically wrapped light green scarf. Yachiru thought the scarf looked a lot like the one Bya-kun wore. She let lose a giggle as she turned to find Kenpachi.
The Puma Master was pleased that the hit on Momo had gone so well. Fury still burned when it came to Momo, however, a betrayal as epic as Momo is not something to be dismissed lightly. She finally had gotten what she deserved, so the Puma Master's fury was somewhat tamed. Now none of the male Shinigami would have Momo to wife for who among them would have a wife with no reiatsu? The Puma Master's dreams now had a chance to come true.
As the sun began to rise on Seireitei the pumas had fanned out and begun to set up territories. There were five pumas to each squad's section. They were prepared to carry out the Puma Master's commands whatever they may be. It was brought to Old Man Yama's attention at the captain's meeting. Soi Fon was missing and presumed AWOL for reasons unknown but likely related to the sudden appearance of pumas. Needless to say no one was too terribly upset over Soi Fon's disappearance.
"It has come to my attention that some of the Shinigami have become unable to fulfill their duties. We shall have the required waiting period before we replace them. Does anyone have any objections? No? Good then it's settled. In the meantime find out where these pumas are coming from and if they are going to cause any trouble."
As the captains filed out no one noticed the small smile that pulled at the corner of Byakuya's lips. He had no worries about pumas they wouldn't come for him or damage any of his property. Why should he worry? Let the others go racing about trying to find the Puma Master. It was unlikely that they would find the one controlling the Pumas.
The Puma Master met up with the captains at the local bar after work. They raised a glass of sake in honor of the Pumas. At the end of the night everyone went home with his or her respective fuktaichous for a bit of bed sport. Though who would have guessed that Kenpachi & Unohana would have ever gotten together? The Puma Master was pleased that they could find a peace of happiness. When it came time to go home for the night the Puma Master gathered up Byakuya and Renji anxious to begin her own bit of fun.
I had a lot of fun writing this story so I hope you enjoyed reading it. I always appreciate reviews but they are unnecessary.
