Guess what? I finally edited it! Yay!
One day Christine and Raoul were going to play the lead parts in a performance. (This was because the Phantom had pushed Carlotta Giudicelli down the stairs so that she couldn't be in the play. The doctors said she would be fine in a few months.)
The Phantom was watching the rehearsal from his balcony box. They were rehearsing the kissing scene, in which Raoul quite enthusiastically kissed her. Too enthusiastically. The Phantom was not happy. He wanted to swoop down and kill them all- that would wipe the smirk off Raoul's greasy face. He decided to restrain himself and think up a nice plan.
"I shall brutally murder you tonight. All of you. Even you, Christine. I hate you. Wait and see, Raoul, wait and see," he whispered to himself. So he slunk down to his secret lair in the sewers.
Using the random junk stuffed into corners (a few violin strings, some piano keys, a dead rat, Christine's veil, one of his spare masks, a rather ugly monkey music box holding cymbals, and some gunpowder) he built a bomb.
He then snuck back up to the stage. The were rehearsing the nice happy ending. That made Phantom laugh. "There will be no happy ending tonight, I promise you."
