The blonde quietly rose out of bed. After leaving her sisters three years ago, she never put her hair up. It was too close to the old times. She never wore anything with black stripes. She never wore Mary Jane shoes. They were all too close to the past.

She quietly slipped on a light green t-shirt and a denim skirt. This was her first day at a new school. She quickly brushed her teeth, then ran a comb through her now chin-length blonde hair. She thought a moment, then slipped a blue hair pin to hold back her long bangs. She checked her bag to make sure she had everything she needed, then slipped out the door. She could've flown, but she tried her very best not to use her superpowers anymore.

As the school bus pulled up at the stop, the girl quietly climbed on. Quiet murmurs spread through the bus.

"I've never seen her before!"

"She's kind of pretty."

"A new girl?"

"This is rare."

She walked past the remarks and to the back of the bus. She put her bag on her lap and stared out the window. She had caught everyone's eye, but one particular individual payed considerable attention. The redhead watched her to the back of the bus, then turned back to the front of the bus.

"Class, this is Beatrice."

The girl walked to her seat. Beatrice wasn't her name. She changed her name to run away from the past.

"Hi Beatrice, I'm Robin. Nice to meet you!"

The girl's head snapped up at the familiar voice. She looked. The girl who had spoken had a wide smile on her face. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail. An apple hair-clip held her bangs to the side. She wore a red shirt with a green apple and a white skirt. Her cyan eyes showed confusion masked by friendliness.

"Hi Robin. Nice to meet you two," She replied, pulling her lips back in a smile, then turning back to the front. Unknown to her, the same individual studied her.

He pulled down his red cap and thought. Beatrice, huh...

She looked around her class, and she could've sworn she recognized the smiling, straight-haired girl with brown hair in the second row. She was wearing a golden hairband, and a school uniform-like outfit. She heard "Morbucks" as the girl talked to the boy next to her, a cute guy with a smiling face. She heard "Mike" when the boy talked to the girl.

She noticed a particular red-head, and her heart nearly stopped. Blossom? ...No, not Blossom. This is a boy. She decided not to give it any more thought, and took out her binder to distract herself. She couldn't keep doing this to herself.

"Hey, Beatrice, right?"

The blonde turned around. It was the red-head from class. "Yes? Who are you?"

The redhead looked at her. "Take another look, toots."

Her eyes widened. Toots... A red cap. Red hair. Red eyes. Could it be...?

Her vision blurred. She took a step back. The boy narrowed his eyes. "I thought so...Bubbles."

Bubbles thought she would faint. She stumbled, and the boy rushed forward to catch her. "Hey Brian, you aren't going for her are ya?" A voice called.

She felt like her head would explode. "No, she's just faint." The boy called back.

Bubbles looked at him, her face covered in sweat. She raised an eyebrow. "Brian?"

The boy smirked at her. "Problem, Beatrice?" He lead her to a nearby bench.

Bubbles smiled faintly. "I guess... But I can still call you Brick, right?"

Brick laughed. "Sure, sure, whatever. Where are your sisters?"

Bubbles' smile faded. "Well, I could ask the same to you."

Brick looked at her. "Well... I sort of... you know... ran away."

Bubbles smiled weakly. "That makes two of us."

Brick smiled back. "This will be our little secret, right Beatrice?"

Bubbles gave a week laugh. "Of course, Brian." She wrapped her arms around him, then smiled and walked away.
