He had refused to go and see her up until this moment. It wasn't really that he didn't want to see those gorgeous eyes, or the blonde hair, or even the way that her eyes couldn't really stay open all the way for such a long time. It was just that the baby that he had in his arms reminded him so much of her mother that he couldn't stand the thought of seeing her when his wife was no longer there.
But as soon as he laid eyes on his new baby wrapped in a little pick blanket, he hated that it took him almost thirty-six hours to gain the courage to come in here and welcome her to the world.
"Hello, beautiful" He smiled down at her, pushing aside everything that didn't consist of the little girl in his arms. "I'm your daddy."
He could tell that his friends were trying hard not to pay too much attention to them, but considering he was the only one making noise it wasn't all that easy. But he didn't bother in looking up at them because he was too mesmerized by the color of his baby girl's eyes.
"I promise to take good care of you and not let anyone hurt you."
He was kind of glad that his mom wasn't in the room at the moment, because he was sure that she would have ruined the moment and then he would just get embarrassed for what he was promising. But even then, there was always someone around to ruin the moment anyways.
"Aww!" Came from the direction of his three best friends and even though he felt slightly embarrassed, he couldn't help but smile up at his best friends.
"Shh," Kendall fake glared, "You're gonna wake her up."
"Sorry," The three of them sheepishly, bringing a finger up to their lips and turning towards the other to tell them to be quiet.
"Welcome to the family, Elizabeth."
