DISCALIMER: I don't own CSI Miami and i don't make any money from it

No regrets.

Maxine was sitting by the table looking at her wedding band. It wasn't in yellow gold as most other wedding rings, but in white gold as Maxine had always preferred the silver color.

She had now been happily married for eleven years and had never once regretted that decision of marrying Natalia.

The couple had no children; it was just the two of them and their two cats Tiger and Molly. Molly was Natalia's, a white cat with a pink collar, which was now five years. Maxine had given it to her. As for Tiger he was an old man by the age of twelve, he had been Maxine's companion before Natalia and was like a child to her. Natalia never did mind though as she herself had always liked cats.

Maxine smiled as her orange striped cat jumped up on the table to cuddle. She gently pet it's head, wondering what it would like be to have children. She was not yet too old, but she knew the ship had long gone sailed. The decision of not having any was mutual with the work schedule and all it seemed impossible.

"Are you cuddling with that cat again, I thought you were supposed to clean the living room Maxi," she heard Natalia said with a sigh.

She turned to look at her older wife, strands of grey was clearly showing in her dark hair.

"I am, I mean I was, but then I came to look at the old photographs and I started to think," said Maxine honest.

"About?" Natalia asked as she sat down opposite her, resting her head in her hands, looking at the younger woman.

"Us, how we decided not to have children and how the cats in one way are our children," said Maxine.

"They surly are, do you regret it?" asked Natalia, her voice sounded insecure.

"No, not at all, when it comes to us I have no regrets," said Maxine and smiled at her.

"Good, I would hate if there were any," said Natalia, as she lifted up the cat that was stroking her head against her leg for attention.

Maxine giggled as she said, "We're pretty great aren't we?"

"That we are, sweetheart, that we are," said Natalia and smiled at her.

"Minds me, Julia called, she wanted to know if we would come over for dinner this Saturday, do you want to or…?" she asked.

"That sounds good to me, unless you don't want to," said Natalia.

"I would be nice, it has been a while since last time, I'll call her later and accept it then," said Maxine.

"Good, that way I can get my movie back from Calleigh, hey maybe we can see it when we get back then," said Natalia excited.

"Sounds like a plan, but you must admit that it was pretty stupid to letting her borrow it without having seen it first," said Maxine, raising a brow at her.

"It was, and it won't happen again," said Natalia.

"Is that regret I am hearing," Maxine teased.

"More of a minor issue," said Natalia, rolling her eyes.

"Did you ever have any?" Maxine asked, mocca brown meeting chocolate.

"Any what sweetheart?" asked Natalia.

"Any regrets when it comes to me or us?" Maxine said and looked down.

Natalia could sense how insecure she was, but to her the answer was simple, so she said, "No sweetheart, when it comes to you and us I have no regrets."

"You are sure about that?" said Maxine, a smile, starting to spread over her lips.

"Possitivly, as long as I have you by my side there can never be any regrets at all," said Natalia before she bent over the table, just enough for their lips to meet. As she retracted Maxine was blushing shyly. Natalia just smiled as she concluded, "No regrets, none at all."
