Chapter 1

1918 Forks

I'm so nervous. Edward had told me to meet him at his house today. I have been seeing Edward for about a year now.

I have a feeling this is going to be good news. I'm walking as fast as I can without actually running.

Once I get there I knock on the door and wait.

"Hi" Edward said as he opened the door. His green eyes sparkled with happiness and anticipation.

"Hey"

"Come here," he said as he pulled me to him for a kiss. His hands hold my face so careful and lovingly, and his lips so soft and warm.

The kiss ended way too soon for my liking, but apparently he was very eager to tell me what was on his mind.

He dragged me to his room, and sat down next to me on his bed. He then started looking for something in his drawer.

"What are you looking for?" I asked, getting impatient.

"You'll see soon enough." He found what he was looking for and kneeled in front of me.

"Isabella Marie Swan, Bella, my love, I promise to love you forever and never hurt you. I promise to always take care of you and make you happy. Will you marry me?

I gasped and jumped off the bed to stand up. He was startled but still waited for an answer.

I then kissed him with all the passion I had in me.

He broke the kiss and looked at me with pure happiness.

"Is that a yes?" he asked

"Of course I'll marry you, I love you" I said. I felt like yelling it at the top of my lungs.

He took the ring out of the velvet box and put it on my finger. It was so beautiful and elegant.

I kissed him again, and put my arms around his neck.

-Next Morning-

I'm getting married. To Edward Anthony Masen. That one guy you always wish for, but never once thought he might ever be yours. Damn.

Edward woke up a few minutes after I did, but he looked worried for some reason.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I said feeling self-conscious.

"Don't worry about it" he said with a fake smile.

I didn't believe him, but I left him alone. After that everything felt awkward, it felt as if we were disconnected. Nothing felt right.

I said goodbye to Edward and prepared myself to tell my parents about my new fiancé.
