The end of series 5 always left me wondering about Abby and Connor's wedding and what would happen, so, here is a story about them getting ready for the wedding, and, if enough people enjoy it, the actual wedding.

This first chapter is to do with Lester and his role in it

Lester

"Come in," Lester said to Abby before she could even knock so she entered his office.

"Hello Lester," Abby said trying to sound innocent.

"What have you and Connor done this time?" Lester sighed.

"We haven't done anything," Abby said.

"That actually sounds truthful," Lester said confused.

"It is," Abby insisted.

"So why are you bothering me?" Lester asked knowing he needed to sort out some paper work before the minister started complaining again.

"Well, last night Connor and I were thinking about our wedding," Abby said sitting down and ignoring Lester's look, "and we were deciding who we wanted to do what. I first I was thinking about asking you to give me away, because, however sarcastic you are, you're part of the team and have been with us since the beginning."

"You were really thinking about having me give you away?" Lester said amazed.

"Of course I was," Abby said and rolled her eyes.

"But if you've changed your mind, why are you telling me?" Lester asked confused.

"The only reason I changed my mind is because we were trying to figure out who would do our ceremony," Abby said.

"So you want me to be your minister?" Lester asked unsure whether he understood.

"Please Lester, there's no one else who we'd rather have, please, please, please," Abby pleaded now standing up begging.

"Of course I will," Lester said smiling and walked round his desk and hugged Abby.

"Are you crying?" Abby asked once they'd split.

"Of course not, I could get you fired for saying something like that," Lester said mock sternly, "Well get back to work."

So Abby walked out of his office and was faced with the ARC team, minus Connor looking very confused.

"What on earth?" Becker asked being the first one to regain composure.

"He said yes," Abby said to Connor and then left to go see Rex, and to try to teach him a few things.

"Yes," Connor more or less screamed and started to do a happy dance.

"Great, Temple's lost it," Becker muttered hitting his head on the wall beside him.

"I thought Lester didn't do physical contact," Matt said.

"He can be nice sometimes," Jess said.

"Really?" Emily asked.

"I should have stressed the 'sometimes' more," Jess muttered, "so, Connor, what is the yes to?"

"Lester's doing our wedding, he's being our minister," Connor said grinning.

The rest of the team stood there in more or less shock at what Connor just said.

Then they all seemed to snap out of it and give Connor a hug.

"Can we stop with all the sentiments? You're at work, remember," Lester said walking out from his office and the team started snickering at what he just said causing him to mutter, "I liked it a lot better when my office was high up, less nosy people looking in," then he returned to his office.
