The Difference Between Us
Chapter 1: Team 7
Team 7 was very . . . odd. Their sensei, the Hatake Kakashi, was a powerful Sharingan user who was not an Uchiha and who always read those little orange books that was clearly not meant to be read around such innocent children. Yet when things got serious, he was there. He could be depended on. Even if he was absurdly late every single time.
Uchiha Sasuke on the other hand . . . well, he was strong for a genin just out of the academy but he was just a bit too intense. He constantly had this look in his eyes. And his dream . . . he wanted to kill someone. Granted, it was understandable as the man had murdered his kin but still. You were talking about a twelve or thirteen year old wanting to really kill someone.
Uzamaki Naruto, on the other hand was almost the exact opposite of the Uchiha. He was loud, had a smile on his face every time you saw him and wanted to become the Hokage to protect his precious people. Not what you would have expected from the Kyubi's container. In fact, you would have expected him to become someone like his teammate. An avenger. Instead, he did the exact opposite and protected Konoha. It didn't make sense. At least, not to those who weren't his friends.
Haruno Sakura. You would expect her to be another powerhouse like the rest of her team. But every team has a weak link. It just happened that she was it. She was more interested in flirting than training, taking care of her hair and making sure she was perfect than building a relationship with her entire team that would be the very core of whether or not they would complete their missions and come out alive. What was the point of being a ninja if you were everything a ninja wasn't? Eye-catching pink hair that made heads turn, bright red clothing that painted a huge target on her back, and a loud, high-pitched voice to tell everyone where she was. She would die soon if she didn't change.
So how was it? I have more if anyone wants to read it but if no one wants to, then I'll scrap the whole thing and change some stuff before posting it as complete.
