summary-
Dan Scott made the biggest mistake when he left Karen when she was pregnant; he was still in love with her and in order to forget about his past he meets Deb but she gets pregnant and he marries her and stays with Nathan and tries unsuccesffuly tries to forget about his first love.The marriage to Deb is a failure to start out with and when Dan leaves to California for a busniess trip 3 years later he runs into Julie Cooper and has a brief affair with her. He leaves unknowing she is pregnant with his child. Now its 15 years later and Julie a nd Jimmy Cooper suddenly died leaving Kaitlin Cooper an orphan but soon she realizes her real father is alive, and lives in North Caorlina. For her finding her father is only the beginning.
