She wasn't Valentine. She was different. Her name was Corona Jin-Li. And she was undergoing some stress.
Corona was born in China and was adopted to American parents in late 2001. She was also born with the Sight and fae blood. Corona was said to look pretty by most standards. Her hair was a bluish black in tint, and her skin was a lovely golden tan. Her features were delicate, with a higher nose bridge due to her half faerie ancestry. Her eyes were small and almond shaped and sparkled a kaleidoscope of many colors.
Though, looks didn't matter to Corona. She was a tough cookie, trained and disciplined like a soldier. She carried a gun with her at all times, just in case of a Downworlder attack. The reason she carried a gun was because she wasn't a Shadowhunter with runes. She was just a mundane.
Corona was a dictator. She demanded people would listen to her. She would pick fights with vampires just to prove that they are a snobby supernatural species who cared little for mundanes except for food. She would argue with faeries and shoot them. In fact, Corona was responsible for killing the Seelie Queen. She had more intention than her sadistic nature. She cared for mundane humans and took it too far.
It all started in 2016. Before she turned 15, she was parent's dream chilwd. She loved to read and watch stories on TV. Her favorite characters were Kylo Ren and Kuvira. Her parents didn't understand her needs as they were always on "missions". They were Shadowhunters and they adopted a mundane. Before 2007, Shadowhunters were allowed to adopt children. It didn't specify what children they could adopt, so Shadowhunters went crazy with adopting sighted kids, thinking the kid would understand, but not be counted off as a mundane.
Corona has been influenced by TV too much. She tried to emulate Kuvira and Kylo Ren as a character, and not just as a badass TV person. Corona was mentally unstable.
Rumor has it that she was harassed by two Downworlders: vampires and faeries. She would all vampires and faeries. She cared for her mundane army, and will not let humans under the grasp of anything. Talk about extreme humanitarianism.
