Alfred tried his best to smile as he listened to every single memory stated and question asked by his parents.
Couldn't Arthur and Francis be more reserved and not occasionally argue over petty things?
He just wanted to introduce Toris to his family as he really wanted to meet them and get to actually formally ask if it is okay that they are dating and to know a bit more about where Alfred came from.
Alfred groaned quietly; why could only Matthew be quiet and polite while remaining practically invisible and his parents could not?
He watched how when Francis asked a particularly risque question how Toris squirmed in discomfort and how upset Arthur had been that he'd ask his son's boyfriend such a question.
It was painful to watch Toris squirm especially since the Lithuanian was more traditional and reserved and was waiting until marriage to do anything like that.
Alfred watched his papa turn to him and rephrase the question to the American who despite growing up around Francis and despite the occasional comment of his own in the past, was still a virgin and did not need to be further embarrassed in front of anyone; whether it was over being a virgin or not being one.
There never was a safe answer, and it took everything in Alfred to actually say that he was a virgin and that they'd did nothing which relieved Arthur though Francis neither seemed upset about it, apathetic, or relieved by it.
Alfred watched as his father complained over the questions asked of their oldest son and his newfound relationship by Francis.
He wondered if there was anyway that he could either blend in and eat his food without seeming to hear the conversations around him like Matthew seemed to do sometimes or get up and not eat dinner to avoid the awkward situation.
A part of his mind did wander to how Toris's family was; where they just as wild or not so much?
Alfred watched his boyfriend who while blushing still watched the family.
"Want to leave?" Alfred whispered to his boyfriend.
"But we haven't finished dinner." Toris muttered though while he did not seem disturbed by Alfred's family, he still looked like he needed a break.
"I'm ready to leave too." Matthew murmured despite having finished dinner and having behaved as if he were deaf to the conversations around him.
"Okay, Mattie. Toris, please go with us?" Alfred begged of his boyfriend.
"I will." He didn't want to be in Alfred's house without Alfred being there.
Alfred smiled widely as if in an attempt to rival the sun's bright rays and led Toris and Matthew with him to find a restaurant elsewhere and to come eventually bid Toris goodbye and come back to talk more with his parents over all that had happened at dinner.
Thankfully, they wouldn't ask them such embarrassing questions or shouldn't later on unless with time, they really felt that those kinds of questions were needed.
Alfred sighed though he truly was happy to hang out with Toris and Matthew for a little bit of time before Toris had to head home.
