She was the one. The way her eyes lit up when she saw him, her voice anytime she spoke even a single word, her hair and how it just seemed to shine in even the dimmest light. He loved her for everything that she was and everything that she wasn't.
But marriage wasn't something that Dean thought he would be very good at. Wrestling with a dog collar and thumbtacks sure, but this…...this was gonna be more difficult than any hardcore match he's ever been in. He asked Roman for advice. All that he could say was that when it's the right time then he'll know. "Yeah, that really helps out me out man.", he said dejectedly as he hung the phone. How was he gonna do this? He thought sleep is best option right now as he tucked himself into bed alone. Renee was on tour with the Smackdown roster in Germany and would be back in the morning. All he could think about was her. He let those thoughts drift him quickly to sleep.
The next morning, 10:46 A.M
The light coming from outside beamed right into his eyes as Dean awoke with bedhead and a slightly stiff back. He outstretched his arms, lifted himself out of bed, and headed straight into kitchen.
There she was, donned in a white tank top and his gray sleep pants that he let her borrow with the waistband rolled down to fit her beautiful hips. Her blonde hair was held up in a messy bun to keep it from distracting her as she made pancakes. The sun shining through the bay window in the living room shined through to the kitchen and lighted up her hair as if it was held up by Helios himself. Renee didn't notice Dean walk in until she heard a chair being pulled out and sat on. "Hey sweetie, how are you?", she asked as she gave him a deep kiss on the cheek and went back to the cooking. Dean gave a nonchalant reply even though he was absolutely ecstatic to see her after two weeks.
"I'm making pancakes, want anything on them?"
"The usual is fine."
He admired her features further as she finished the food and sat it on the table. They both ate quietly with conversation about the tour in between. As she was cleaning up, Dean sat there in silence. Was this the time? Is this what Roman was talking about? Whatever it was, something in his gut was telling that it was time to say something, do something, anything. As Renee sat back down, she asked if there was something wrong. It was then that he just came right out and said it.
"I've been trying to wrap my brain around about the way you make me feel. I know I'm not perfect and I know I'm way too rough around the edges to care, but the one thing I do care about is you. I love you Renee. I love you, your voice, and your pancakes. Marry me….marry me and do me the honor of doing the right thing for once in my life."
Renee sat there stunned. She's been waiting for this moment since she laid her lips against his for the first time. With tears in her eyes, she replied.
"Yes…..yes I'll marry you Jon."
They both got up and hugged each other. Dean giving her a long and deep kiss while gently cupping her face, outlining the curvature of her jawline with his finger. Renee couldn't help hold on to his arms. Those beautifully limbs that have held up her up as she was falling down or when she needed someone to cry and vent to. As he broke away from Renee, Dean uttered jokingly, "You taste like blueberries." Renee laughed wiping tears from her eyes. "You don't taste bad yourself, Mr. Raspberry Breath." He took her into his strong, muscular arms and carried her to the bedroom where they were spend all day together, intertwined in limbs and in love.
