A new school. A new start. A new Jace? No way. Jace had been expelled from most schools near his house. His 'Bad boy' reputation wasn't going to change just because it was a new Highschool. Jace was a player, a new girl every week. The Lightwoods were starting to loose count. His first day at Mortada High was today. "Jace get your lazy butt outta bed now!" Isabelle, his adoptive sister, yelled from the bottom of the stairs. Jace had been adopted when he was 4 after his parents had been shot in their own home, he still had nightmares every night about it. "I said now Jace Herondale!"
"I'm coming!" he yelled just as loud before muttering under his breath "well you're one to talk."
Jace made his way downstairs, after getting showered and dressed, and into the kitchen before being tackled to the ground by his 7 year old adoptive brother, Max.
"Jace! Jace! look what Alec got me last night on his way home from Magnus' house!" Max screamed at his waving a comic around infront of Jace's face.
"You gotta keep it still if you want me to look at it little man." Jace said as Alec (the oldest of the Lightwood kids) walked into the room.
"YOU OWE ME 25$ JACE HERONDALE!" Alec screamed. Jace had forgotten about their bet.
-3 days earlier-
"That's the second time today that Max has pushed you over." Alec said, laughing.
"Shut up Alec! you were the one that got him excited with his new comic." Jace replied
"I bet you 25$ that everytime Max gets a new comic he will tackle you to the ground"
"Deal!" The bet had been made...
-back to that morning-
Jace pulled the money out of his back pocket. "Don't spend it all in the same comic shop" he said handing it over. Isabelle came running into the kitchen.
"OH MY ANGEL! WE HAVE A NEW GIRL AT SCHOOL TODAY AND-"
"Did you stalk someone else's Facebook page without permission Isabelle Jemima Lightwood?" Jace asked doing his best impression of Maryse (Jace's adoptive mum)
"Maybe... But she is super hot! And you know Jonathan and Sebastain Morgenstern from school Alec?"
"Yeah, Why?"
"It's their sister coming back from Hawaii!"
"By the angel! Little Clarissa Adelle Morgenstern is coming home!"
At that moment the doorbell went.
"I'll get it while you two carry on with your screaming match!" Jace yelled. He went and opened the front door. In front of him had to be the cutest little redhead he had ever seen
