"Elsa, can I ask you a question?"
"Yes Anna, what is it?"
"Have you been eating all the chocolate?"
Elsa turned around to look at her sister, a look of astonishment and wonder upon her face. "Did you say CHOCOLATE?", she asked, already licking her lip at the possibilities.
She turned cold, Anna had asked a question - a question that suggested that the divine food was disappearing. This could not go uninvestigated.
"No Anna", she said, suspicious and a little hopeful, "have you?"
At Anna's sigh and headshake, Elsa stood from her desk in the Library and strode through the doors.
"wait Elsa, where are you going?"
"We have to investigate!"
"Well, where are you going to look? I've been in the kitchen - there was nobody there!"
"We'll just have to look for witnesses, find out who has been in the kitchens"
Elsa and Anna searched the palace thoroughly, asked the servants (they dare not ask the courtiers lest their greatest weakness apart from each other be known) and Olaf who had been to the kitchen , but still had no lead. They were now reconvening in the library to try to decide on a new avenue of investigation.
"There has to be a clue somewhere!" Elsa said after a frustrated sigh and a dozen of the weirdest suggestions from Anna. Flying, walking, talking chocolates... Those trolls had really done quite a number on her sister by allowing her to remember magic now.
"I know, why don't we ask Kristoff!"
Anna started running to the stables, pulling Elsa by the hand along (Queens do not run, they glide down the halls in an elegant and regal fashion, thank you very much), and when they opened the doors they gasped.
Sven was munching a whole carrot.
They approached slowly, and Anna got ready to whisper to Sven, asking where his master was when they saw him - chocolate wrappers all around him, melted chocolate sitting at the corner of his lips, and a satisfied smile on his face.
"Kristoff!" Anna said, shocked.
"What?! You can't expect me to have carrots all the time! I'm getting tired of them", he replied, in his usual goofy manner.
"Maybe next time you could come up to the castle and eat with us as royal ice master and deliverer" Elsa said, a tad relieved at knowing what had happened to the chocolate. She was eyeing a pretty large piece beside Kristoff with a hungry look. A hungry look he noticed.
"Help yourselves, I love to share".
And they did.
