I should have stayed in bed, she thought as she opened her eyes, found her surroundings engulfed in darkness and realised that she wasn't able to move.
I should have stayed in bed, she thought as she noticed that she was having trouble breathing and could taste the metallic flavour of her own blood in her mouth.
I should have stayed in bed, she thought as Chakotay's anxiety-filled face moved into her line of sight.
I really should have stayed in bed, she thought as she felt her vision fade.
I'm tired, she thought, so tired. Maybe I should sleep.
